1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of iGunZ (the “Service”), a private fan-run server for the game GunZ: The Duel (the “Game”), and its related websites including igunz.net and any subdomains. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Not Affiliated with the Original Publisher
iGunZ is a non-commercial fan project. GunZ: The Duel is a trademark of and copyrighted by Maiet Entertainment Inc.; iGunZ is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by Maiet Entertainment, its successors, or any official rights holder. The Service is operated by individual fans of the Game on a best-effort basis, with no commercial interest. 3. Eligibility and Account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are not barred from receiving the Service under applicable law. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, the security of your two-factor authentication device, and any activity under your account.
We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, or threaten the integrity of the Service. We will notify you of a suspension when possible, but immediate action without notice is reserved for serious threats (e.g. live abuse, credential theft, exploit attempts).
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to attempt to:
- Use any cheat, hack, automation tool, third-party software, packet inspector, or unauthorised modification that gives you an unfair advantage over other players or interferes with the Service. Anti-cheat detection results in account suspension.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate other users. Hate speech targeting protected classes is prohibited and will result in permanent suspension.
- Buy, sell, trade, or otherwise transfer accounts or in-game items for real-world currency. The Service does not offer or sanction any real-money transactions involving game content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract assets from the Game client beyond what is necessary for personal interoperability, or distribute such assets publicly.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent any security or authentication measures, except under a documented disclosure program.
- Use the Service to send spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited bulk communications.
5. User Content
The Service lets you submit limited content, character names, clan names, profile information, in-game chat. By submitting content, you grant the Service a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and reproduce that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You retain ownership of your content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law without notice.
6. The Service is Provided AS-IS
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The operators do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, free of errors, or that data (including game progression, in-game items, account records) will not be lost.
In no event will the operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Account deletion is best-effort: certain data (audit log, anti-cheat records, content related to enforcement actions) may be retained for security and legal-compliance reasons after deletion of the user-facing account.
We may terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Sections 4 (Acceptable Use), 6 (AS-IS), 7 (Termination), 8 (Changes), and 9 (Governing Terms) survive termination.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Service (typically via the news feed) at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
9. Governing Terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operators’ jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties; if no resolution is reached within 60 days, either party may seek relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
